Do you want to be better equipped to help people with the difficulties of life?

If so, this Diploma subject will provide you with the basic pastoral care and counselling skills to be a better listener and a better pastoral carer. Offered over eight sessions, this training will be both practical and informative.

This training will develop your confidence in pastoral care and is suitable for lay people, ministerial candidates, and current leaders looking to hone their skills. Students will meet with the trainers face-to-face in one of two training locations, or connect via web conference to the live class.

The trainers, Ali Burley and Helen Telfer, are experienced Christian counsellors with a passion to see Christian people provide better care for those who face a crisis, a tough time in life, or those who need further support in their journey. The subject is available for credit within the *10434NAT Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology for the subject fee of $620 (or for non-accredited connection for the cost of $160).

Available in two locations, Pastoral Care and Counseling will be available from the Broadmeadows campus (1/23 Lakeside Drive, Broadmeadows) on Monday mornings, commencing Monday 18th February 2019 at 9:30am. The second training location is in Camberwell (Function Room-Athelstan 450 Camberwell Road, Camberwell) with training offered on Wednesday evenings from Wednesday 20th February 2018, 6:00pm.

Contact the college office on 03 9357 3699 to ask further questions and to enroll. This excellent training is not offered every year. Plan ahead to join one of these class times and gain the training you need to better serve others with excellent pastoral care skills.
